Christmas Movie

My favorite Christmas movie is Home Alone 2: Lost in New York . It takes place a year after the first movie. This time, instead of being left behind while his family went on vacation, Kevin boarded the wrong plane and ended up in New York while his family is in Miami. The burglars from the first movie, Harry and Marv, are on the loose again after breaking out of prison. The movie has a very similar plot to the first movie, but some of the booby traps are notably upgraded. I always laugh more at this movie than the first one, which is why I like it better. Some of the booby traps include Harry getting catapulted onto a car and Marv getting 5 bricks thrown into his forehead from the top of a 3-story building. Another one involves Harry getting his head caught on fire (again) and trying to put it out by dunking his head in a toilet. Unfortunately for him, the toilet was filled with a flammable gas, so the toilet exploded. How both burglars survived is beyond me.  Here is one of my fa

Galaxy's Most Powerful Sith Lords: Part One

Darth Traya, Lord of Betrayal     Darth Traya during the age of the Old Republic, about 4000 years before the Battle of Yavin. Like many Sith Lords, Traya was once a Jedi, named Kreia. As a Jedi Master, Kreia trained many students. Many of these students, including the Jedi Knight Revan, went to war against the people of Mandalore. Because of this, Kreia was exiled from the Jedi Order. Kreia soon found the Trayus Academy on the Sith world, Malachor V. There, she turned to the dark side of the force, proclaiming herself Darth Traya. As a Sith Lord, Traya took on two apprentices: Darth Nihlus and Darth Sion. These three Sith became known as the Sith Triumvirate, and Traya was their leader. However, Traya was eventually overthrown by her apprentices, and they stripped her of her connection to the force. Despite this, Kreia soon found another Jedi exile, named Meetra Surik, and took her as an apprentice. Kreia hated that the Force controlled all events in the galaxy, so she and her appre

Online Games

When I have finished with all of my classwork, one game I play in my free time is slither.io. The game is simple: you are a snake, and your objective is to grow as big as possible. There is food all across the map and it appears as glowing dots. There are also other players to compete with as well. If you run into another player, you die and become food. I like this game because of how simple it is.      http://slither.io/

Historical Battles: Part Four

Image
The Peloponnesian War In the late 400s BC, Athens grew to become very powerful. After their second war with the Persians, Athens realized that the Greek city-states needed to become united in order to fight off future invasions. So the Greeks created the Delian League: an alliance between city-states with Athens as their leader. The Delian League greatly increased their wealth and power. They used this power to battle with the Persians in order to discourage another war. This growth made other city-states nervous. The Delian League's power meant that they could potentially invade all of the Greek world. Thus the other city-states created the Peloponnesian League, led by Sparta. As the Delian and Peloponnesian Leagues became more powerful, peace became fragile. The war began when Athens tried to bring the neutral city of Potidaea under its control. Corinth, part of the Peloponnesian League, secretly sent soldiers to aid in the defense. This move angered Athens, and the war began.
